Defiance County resident Sue Strausbaugh will lead the Advisory Committee on the Judicial Family Network as chair for 2012-13, the Ohio Supreme Court announced. She replaces Robert Lanzinger whose one-year term as chair is ending.

With 725 judges at all levels of the judiciary in Ohio, the 18-member advisory committee identifies the needs and concerns of judicial families and offers them educational opportunities and a supportive network.

Strausbaugh, the wife of Defiance County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Jeffrey A. Strausbaugh, is serving her second term on the advisory committee after her appointment in 2009. She and Judge Strausbaugh have been married for 37 years and have five children and three grandchildren. She’s also the owner/operator of the BIGGBY Coffee franchise in Defiance.

Judge Strausbaugh began serving on the common pleas division bench in 2009. He received his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. Before his election as judge, he was the Defiance County prosecutor for 16 years.
