A documentary tracing the history of the home of the Ohio Supreme Court will air this week.

A new documentary about the history behind the building that houses the Ohio Supreme Court will air on public television stations this week.

“Justice Finds a Home” was produced by the Ohio Channel to document the life of what is now called the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center.  The building opened in 1933 as the Ohio Departments Building, but decades later it sat unused until the late Chief Justice Moyer saw the potential the building held as the first facility to solely house Ohio's judiciary. The film includes never-before-seen interviews with Chief Justice Moyer and with the artisans who restored the building to its former glory.

Broadcast dates are:

  • Monday, October 13 at 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 14 at 4 a.m.

The documentary premiered at the Ohio County Courthouses Symposium in May, and is available for viewing online.
