Governor Appoints Bratka to Logan County Family Court
West Liberty resident Dan W. Bratka will join the Logan County Family Court tomorrow after his appointment today by Gov. John R. Kasich.
Bratka replaces former Judge C. Douglas Chamberlain who retired in July. Bratka must run in November’s general election to retain the seat for the unexpired term that ends January 1, 2017.
Bratka received his bachelor’s degree from Urbana University and earned his law degree from the Ohio Northern University College of Law. Since 2005, he has served as the magistrate in the family court.
Bratka is currently the vice president of the Logan County Historical Society, and is retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves with 35 years of service. Bratka is also a life member of the American Legion, Air Force Association, and Reserve Officer’s Association.
