Governor Appoints Bauernschmidt to Cleveland Municipal Court

A magistrate who serves the Village of Bratenahl’s mayor’s court was appointed by Gov. John R. Kasich Thursday to the Cleveland Municipal Court.
Charles J. Bauernschmidt will take the bench on Wednesday. He replaces Judge Michael J. Ryan, who was elected in November to the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
Bauernschmidt received his bachelor’s degree in History from Rollins College, and earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He was admitted to the Ohio bar on November 9, 1974.
Bauernschmidt has been a member of the Rockwall Springs Trout Club since 1985. He and his wife, Karen, have two daughters.
