Hardin County Judges Appointed
Two vacancies on the Hardin County Court of Common Pleas were filled today by appointment of the governor.
Gov. John R. Kasich announced the appointments of Scott N. Barrett to serve on the Hardin County Court of Common Pleas, General and Domestic Relations Division, and Steven D. Christopher to serve on the Hardin County Court of Common Pleas, Probate and Juvenile Division.
Both men are residents of Kenton in Hardin County.
Barrett will assume office on March 25, 2013, and must run in November 2014 in order to retain the seat for the unexpired term, which ends December 31, 2016. Barrett is replacing William Hart, who retired.
Barrett received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Northern University and earned his juris doctorate from the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. Since 1988, he has been self-employed at Roof & Barrett Attorneys at Law.
Christopher will assume office on March 18, 2013, and must run in November 2014 in order to retain the seat for the unexpired term, which ends February 8, 2015. Christopher is replacing James Rapp, who retired.
Christopher received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University and earned his juris doctorate from the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. Since 1991, he has been the proprietor of Christopher Law Office.
