New Judge to Take the Bench in Clermont County

The governor has appointed Kevin T. Miles of Batavia to the Clermont County Municipal Court. Miles is replacing Judge James Shriver, who was appointed to the Clermont County Common Pleas Court, Probate/Juvenile Division, in April.
Governor John R. Kasich’s office announced that Miles will assume office August 19, 2013. He must run in November 2013 to retain the seat for the unexpired term ending December 31, 2015.
Miles received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Northern Kentucky University, and earned his juris doctorate from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Since February 2002, he has served as an attorney for the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office.
Miles attends the Mount Carmel Christian Church and is involved with the Clermont County Knothole Baseball organization as an assistant coach. He and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Jake, 10, and Abby, 9.
