Gov. John Kaisch appointed Rita McNeil Danish to the Franklin County Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court. Her term begins July 14.
McNeil Danish replaces Judge Jim Mason who retired. She must win in the November general election to retain her seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends on January 1, 2019.
McNeil Danish received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University and her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Since January 2013, McNeil Danish has practiced law at Crabbe Brown & James in Columbus. She also is the founder and CEO of JD2 Strategists, LLC in Dayton. Danish has served as legal counsel for the cities of Dayton and Cincinnati and was a Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations and Juvenile Division magistrate in 1994 and 1995.
McNeil Danish serves on the Board of Delegates for the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Commissioners on Character and Fitness.
She resides in Gahanna.
