New Series of Courthouse Videos Premieres
The newest set of mini documentaries about Ohio’s 88 county courthouses begins airing Dec. 7. The video series began last December as a way to showcase the courthouses across the Buckeye state. A general video about the “Great 88” will premiere at noon on the Ohio Channel, a public broadcasting station headquartered at the Ohio Statehouse.
Ohio Government Telecommunications is producing the video series, which features each courthouse’s distinctive characteristics and provides a glimpse of its history with photos from local historical societies and interviews with judges and chronologists.
Four courthouse videos are scheduled to air this month:
- The Great 88 airing Dec. 7 at noon.
- Auglaize County airing on Dec. 14.
- Fayette County airing on Dec. 21.
- Meigs County airing on Dec. 28.
After they premiere on TV, the documentaries will appear on the Ohio Channel’s website. The long-term project will eventually showcase all 88 county courthouses across the state.
