“Ohio lawyers stepped up when Hurricane Harvey hit,” said Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor of the Supreme Court of Ohio. “Victims of the next two giant storms need legal help, too. All will be navigating difficult legal situations, from unemployment benefits and insurance payouts to lost records and applications for federal assistance.”
“Attorneys who join in this ABA effort are helping to ensure that access to fair and effective justice is available to all Americans, not just those who can afford the services of an attorney,” Chief Justice O’Connor said.
