Justice O’Donnell Administers Oath to New Appeals Court Judge

Justice Terrence O’Donnell administered the oath of office to Judge-elect Tim McCormack, who was elected to the Eighth District Court of Appeals in Cuyahoga County in November. Justice O’Donnell also offered an address on the importance and significance of the judicial oath to the entire student body of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Judge McCormack’s alma mater, where the ceremony took place.
Judge Patricia Ann Blackmon, Administrative Judge of the Eighth District Court of Appeals, welcomed Judge McCormack to the court on behalf of her colleagues, many of whom also attended the installation ceremony.
McCormack has a long history of public service beginning as a Euclid City Councilman, serving in both the Ohio House of Representatives and in the Ohio Senate, and having been also elected Cuyahoga County Auditor and Cuyahoga County Commissioner.
Judge McCormack will serve a 6 year term on the Court of Appeals in Cuyahoga County beginning January 2, 2013.
