Teachers to Witness Ohio Government in Action
Teachers from around Ohio will be in Columbus this week to participate in Ohio Government in Action, a behind-the-scenes exploration of Ohio’s three branches of government.
Ohio Government in Action is a program of the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) and provides teachers an opportunity to meet with state leaders in the legislative, judicial, and executive branches.
“Ohio Government in Action provides a once-in-a-lifetime experience that gives teachers a greater understanding of Ohio’s Constitution and important issues addressed by Ohio’s three branches of government,” said OCLRE Executive Director Lisa Eschleman. “Every year, teachers tell us that they take what they learn at Ohio Government in Action directly back to their classrooms and students.”
Among the activities scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, participants will observe oral arguments before the Ohio Supreme Court, have lunch with the Supreme Court Justices, and tour the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center.
