The Ohio Supreme Court released the July 2013 Ohio Bar Examination results today. The exam was administered on July 30, 31, and August 1 in Columbus. Out of 1,255 applicants who sat for the exam, 1,034 (82.4 percent) received passing scores; out of 1,139 first-time test takers, 87 percent received passing scores.

In 2012, 977 of 1,209 July bar applicants received passing scores; in 2011, 959 of 1,176 bar applicants received passing scores; in 2010, 987 of 1,192 applicants received passing scores; and in 2009, 957 out of 1,177 applicants received passing scores.

The oath of office will be administered to successful applicants who have also satisfied all of the Ohio Supreme Court’s other requirements for admission. The oath will be administered during two special public sessions of the Ohio Supreme Court at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday, November 4, at The Ohio Theatre, 39 East State Street, Columbus.

The oath will be administered to eligible applicants from The Ohio State University, Capital University, University of Dayton, University of Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky University at 10:30 a.m. At 2 p.m., the oath of office will be administered to eligible applicants from Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, University of Toledo, Ohio Northern University, University of Akron, and other out-of-state law schools.
