The 12 essay questions posed during the July 2014 Ohio Bar Examination are now available online.

In addition to the questions, there are examples of “above-average” answers written by applicants who passed the exam. The publication also contains the two Multistate Performance Test items prepared by the National Conference of Bar Examiners.

By rule, the Ohio Board of Bar Examiners must publish the essay questions after the announcement of exam results within a “reasonable” period. Hard copies are available by contacting Bar Admissions at 614.387.9340 or baradmissions@sc.ohio.gov.

Out of 1,173 applicants who sat for the 2 ½ day exam in July, 902 (76.9 percent) received passing scores. The next bar exam will be administered February 24-26 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
