2015 July Bar Exam to be Administered at New Location
The Ohio Supreme Court will administer the July 2015 Bar Examination at a new venue. Applicants will take the bar exam on July 28-30 at the Roberts Centre. The facility is located near Wilmington, Ohio between Columbus and Cincinnati on Interstate 71.
The three-day exam was administered at the Franklin County Veterans Memorial for more than 55 years before it was moved to the Greater Columbus Convention Center last year. Veterans Memorial will soon be demolished.
“We are pleased to have the Roberts Centre as our new site for administering the July bar exam,” Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor said. “The Centre will allow us to provide a secure exam, and this advanced notice will allow the candidates to make the necessary arrangements for hotel rooms.”
The bar exam is held twice a year in February and July. The 2015 February Bar Exam will still be administered at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Some applicants for the July bar exam will be able to drive to and from Roberts Centre each day; however several hotels will be available for exam participants including a hotel located on-site.
The bar exam is administered by the Supreme Court, which regulates the practice of law in Ohio, including the admission of new attorneys, the biennial registration of current attorneys, attorney discipline in cases of misconduct, and the administration of continuing legal education.
