Ohio Supreme Court Announces July Bar Exam Results
70.5 percent (701) of 995 applicants who took the July bar exam passed, according to the Ohio Supreme Court.
76 percent of those sitting for their first Ohio exam received passing scores. Complete results of the July 2016 Ohio Bar Examination were released today.
Last year, 779 of 1,045 July bar applicants received passing scores, or 75 percent.
The exam was administered July 26-28 in Wilmington. The Court administers the bar exam twice a year with the next exam scheduled for Feb. 21-23, 2017.
July’s successful applicants must satisfy all of the Court’s other requirements for admission in order to take the oath of office during two special public sessions Nov. 7 at The Ohio Theatre in Columbus.
The oath will be administered to eligible applicants from The Ohio State University, Capital University, University of Dayton, University of Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky University at 10:30 a.m. At 2 p.m., the oath will be administered to eligible applicants from Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, University of Toledo, Ohio Northern University, University of Akron, and out-of-state law schools.
