Ohio Supreme Court employees were recognized for their professionalism and service today during a ceremony in the Courtroom.
The 12th annual employee recognition ceremony included a presentation of the Professional Excellence Awards, the highest honors given to Supreme Court staff, to three employees: Ryan Fahle, security services coordinator in the Office of the Court Security; Joel Kent, administrative officer in the Office of Disciplinary Counsel; and Melissa Pierre-Louis, human resources coordinator in the Office of Human Resources.
The employees distinguished themselves in one of three categories:
- Demonstrating superior achievement in the completion of a special project or assignment
- Consistently displaying professional excellence in the performance of their regularly assigned duties
- Displaying a positive attitude toward one’s work, fellow employees, and the constituencies of the Supreme Court.
An awards committee selected the honorees after reviewing nominations submitted by internal personnel and external colleagues.
Also at the ceremony, 29 employees were recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service.
