Court Asks for Public Comment on Proposed Amendment to Shorten Extensions of Time

The Ohio Supreme Court will accept public comment until Nov. 7, 2018 on a proposed amendment that will shorten the amount of time by which parties may agree to extend the time for filing certain documents.

Right now parties may file a stipulation for up to a 20-day extension to file certain documents in their case. The proposed amendment will shorten that timeframe and limit parties to stipulating to a maximum extension of 10 days.

Comments to the proposed amendments should be submitted in writing or via email by Nov. 7, 2018, to:

Justin Kudela, Case Management Counsel
65 South Front St., 8th Floor
Columbus, Ohio 43215-3431
or
