Seats of Justice: A Look at Ohio’s Local Courthouses

Take in the grandeur of Ohio’s many courthouses without ever leaving home!

A mini-documentary series published on the Ohio Channel gives viewers the unique opportunity to tour the buildings and learn about their history, stories, and the people who work to serve justice.

The first episode takes place in Springfield at the historic Clark County Courthouse, which was funded in 1818 with money provided by local citizens. Their dedication laid the foundation for a storied landmark.

From the founding of the 4-H Club in its basement, to rebuilding after a major fire in 1918, and housing a letter from Lincoln, this courthouse holds a rich tapestry of history just waiting to be explored.
