Supreme Court of Ohio Names Ellinger Director of Public Information

Andy Ellinger has been named director of public information for the Supreme Court of Ohio. Ellinger will oversee the strategic operations of the Office of Public Information, focusing on enhancing public and media understanding of the Supreme Court as well as facilitating timely dissemination of news and information to the public.

"We welcome Andy Ellinger to our team," said Chief Justice Sharon L. Kennedy. "His extensive background in public information and communications will be invaluable as we continue to engage with the public and media to enhance transparency and understanding of the judicial process."

Ellinger most recently worked as senior public information officer at the Ohio Department of Commerce and Ohio University where he served as communications and marketing director. Prior to that, he served as assistant director of marketing and public relations for Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College. Ellinger has also held roles as public information officer at a non-profit agency and as an advertising and marketing manager for an engineering firm and heavy equipment company.

"I am excited to join the Supreme Court of Ohio and work alongside a great team. I am committed to advancing the Court's mission by improving how we communicate and to share vital information with the people of Ohio," Ellinger said.

Ellinger earned his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism before graduating with a master’s degree in public relations, also from Ohio University.

Ellinger resides in New Straitsville with his wife Brandy. They have one daughter, Hannah.
