The Supreme Court of Ohio released results from the February 2025 Ohio Bar Examination.

A total of 345 aspiring attorneys took the exam, and 147 – or 43% – passed. There was a total of 122 first-time examinees who took the exam, and 79 examinees (65%) received a passing score. The successful examinees represent 35 Ohio counties and 10 states.

Those who meet all requirements will be sworn in as attorneys during a special session of the Supreme Court at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 12 at the Palace Theatre in Columbus. The Bar Admissions ceremony will be live streamed on the Supreme Court website.

Following the ceremony, the new attorneys and their guests are invited to the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center. The Ohio State Bar Association will host a reception in the Grand Concourse, including food, complimentary headshots, and photos inside the courtroom in front of the bench.

The Supreme Court Office of Attorney Services will be available with information on attorney registration, new lawyer training, and the Supreme Court Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program.

The following organizations will also be present to answer questions from new attorneys:

  • Supreme Court of Ohio Law Library
