Case Activity Notification Keeps You Up to Date on Supreme Court Cases

Follow cases filed with the Supreme Court with case notifications.

Maybe you’ve watched oral arguments in a case heard by the Supreme Court of Ohio, or you’ve learned about a case pending before the Court. Want to know more? You can follow a case’s progression, filings, and decisions by signing up for Case Activity Notifications.

All you need is an email address to register. A verification link will be sent to you, and once you’re logged in, you can choose to receive case updates by email or message. It’s all free.

Getting Started
To begin, visit the Case Activity Notifications welcome page, or go to the Court’s home page and scroll down to Quick Links, where you’ll find “Sign up for Case Notifications.” Once registered, you can search for cases you’d like to track. A user guide is available to demonstrate the many ways to find and follow a case.

Notifications Automatically Sent
After selecting one or more cases to track, you’ll receive notifications whenever activity occurs, from shortly after a case is filed with the Supreme Court until it is closed. Notifications will alert you to key dates, including when the Court hears oral arguments and when a decision is issued. You’ll also have access to find the case docket and related documents, which include filings and information submitted by the parties and the Court.

When actively tracking a case, a green button indicates you’re receiving notifications by email or text. To stop tracking a case, select the email or text option again, and the button will turn grey.

You may follow as many cases as you wish and for as long as you want.
