A free clinic will help low-income residents of Summit, Stark, and Portage counties prepare wills and other essential estate-planning documents.

Community Legal Aid and the Ohio Women’s Bar Association are partnering to offer the clinic Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Destiny Church, 9550 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg. Participants will be able to meet with an attorney and receive legal advice and assistance.

The clinic is open to individuals who cannot afford an attorney. Financial screening will be conducted during registration. Appointments are required and limited to one hour. To register, call 330-983-2511 or visit https://info.communitylegalaid.org/OWBAWillsClinic by Sept. 21.

Supreme Court Offers Additional Resources
The free clinic is one example of how Ohio attorneys donate their time to ensure access to justice. Last year, Ohio attorneys gave 112,000 hours of their time and free legal services, according to a survey conducted jointly by the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation.

The Ohio judiciary is committed to fairness and impartiality, which demands justice be accessible to all. The Supreme Court offers additional resources for people seeking legal assistance or want to learn more about Ohio courts and how they function. The Court’s Access to Justice Resources page provides a variety of tools and information, from a citizen’s guide to legal terminology to a searchable database of forms that can be filed in local courts and throughout the judicial system.
